A warm welcome to the new Passenger Transport Monitor web site, which contains data, information and comment about the financial and market performance of the UK ground passenger transport industry, including buses, trains and trams.

For regular visitors, we must apologise for the lack of visibility over recent weeks. Unfortunately, for reasons unknown, the database underlying the site became corrupted during February, and despite the heroic efforts of the team at our ISP, it could not be restored. We are therefore starting again from scratch!  

All the material that existed on the site is still extant in our archives and the Monitor databases - but restoring it to the site will be a time-consuming business.
